Premier Health Exchange Inc. has formed a business division to deliver electronic payments to health care providers upon settlement of valid and payable medical claims and reconciliation, the provider of health care cost management services announced March 19.
The division, Pay-Plus Solutions Inc., sends funds electronically via automated clearinghouse and sends explanations of payments to health care providers through an online portal.
Premier Health Exchange designed Pay-Plus Solutions to reduce payment time, increase office-management efficiencies and improve cash flow, the company noted in a press release. The company combined claim-processing automation with professional services to help clients reduce payment errors and improve claim-resolution time, according to the release.
Pay-Plus Solutions is the only system designed exclusively for health care that combines banking functions, claim payments and claim remittance and integrates them with traditional paper processes, the release says.
Premier Health Exchange partnered with UMB Financial Corp. to launch Pay-Plus Solutions. UMB is a financial services holding company that offers banking, asset management and health spending products and services to commercial, institutional and personal customers nationwide, the release said.
