London-based Proxama Plc will help mobile payment venture Isis develop its mobile wallet app for use on Blackberry 10 devices.
Isis, a joint venture of AT&T, Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile USA, recently announced it would expand its current testing in Salt Lake City and Utah into
"The rollout of Isis is a significant step forward for NFC as a mainstream consumer technology," Miles Quitmann, managing director of Proxama, states in an Oct. 7 release.
"The North American market is a really important one for us," Quitmann adds.
Proxama's technology supports consumer engagement, loyalty and secure contactless payments through NFC. The company says it has worked with leading brands such as EAT, KFC, EE and Barclaycard on NFC initiatives to support consumer engagement and mobile wallets.
