RevSpring adds payment button to Epic health care platform

Health care payments provider RevSpring has launched software that adds a payment button for patients using its MyChart or Hyperspace portals.

The PersonaPay option will operate within the Epic health care management and billing platform. RevSpring is making the payment solution available through Epic's App Orchard, a marketplace showcasing vendor apps that integrate to Epic through its published APIs.

RevSpring cites the addition of PersonaPay as a way to help providers establish a more understandable billing process and take a lot of guesswork out of the patient experience.

“This careful integration means Epic clients gain the advanced capabilities of PersonaPay, such as the ability to understand contextually where patients may be in their payment journey, without ever leaving the Epic portal," Casey Williams, RevSpring's senior vice president of payment applications, said in a Tuesday press release.

"PersonaPay makes it easier for patients to fulfill their financial obligations and reduces customer inquiries through an analytically driven user interface embedded within the MyChart and Hyperspace environments," Williams added.

PersonaPay provides payment options and enables patients to make medical payments from anywhere, tailored to each patient experience from pre-service, to self-service to the call center.

It includes text-to-pay with one click, assisted payments through voice recognition or text automation, real-time balance updates from Epic, and direct payment posting into Epic.

More than 160 healthcare industry clients use the Epic/RevSpring partnership to manage payments and other workflows.
