Samsung Pay Saw $30 Million in Transactions in One Month

South Korean purchases via Samsung Pay have topped the equivalent of $30 million U.S. as of Sept. 20, according to the first figures released by Samsung.

Those transactions cover the first month of Samsung's mobile wallet's launch in South Korea. Samsung Pay is slated to launch in the U.S. on Monday (Sept. 28) and the company said that it plans to launch in the U.K., Spain and China soon.

That initial activity reflects 1.5 million transactions and Samsung noted that about 60% of those purchases happened on its Galaxy Note 5 smartphone. One out of ten users conducted Samsung Pay transactions on a daily basis, the company said.
