Snapette, a unit of the location-based fashion shopping app PriceGrabber, launched in 2011 as a way to help shoppers find products and sales at nearby stores. The new update makes Snapette a full digital commerce platform. Snapette is integrated with Braintree, FedEx and DHL to enable its users to check out through the app.

"With the addition of in-app purchase, we are now enabling users to be able to purchase products from many of our retailer partners, making product discovery truly actionable," says Jeff Goldstein, president of PriceGrabber, in an Oct. 28 press release.

Other companies offering in-app payments include Zooz, which offers the HTML 5 programming language  to developers to support in-app payments. Zooz enables consumers to click on digital advertisements to make payments.
