Sampath Bank Ltd. and the Bar Association of Sri Lanka have signed an agreement to launch the cobranded BASL Affinity MasterCard, according to the Colombo-based issuer.
The card is available in classic and gold types and is specially designed and branded for association members, according to a statement from the bank.
The card will provide special discounts to association members for both domestic and international transactions, the bank says. For example, card members will get a 10% discount off travel bookings made with certain airlines.
In addition, Sampath will contribute to the association 250 rupees (US$2.22 or 1.67 euros) per classic card it issues and 600 rupees per gold card, and it will provide the organization 0.1% of each sale.
Cardholders pay an annual fee of 500 rupees for the classic card plus 300 rupees for a second card; they pay 1,000 rupees annually for the Gold card plus 500 rupees per supplemental card.
