Sixteen Illinois banks have joined the Sum Selective surcharge-free automated teller machine network operated by NYCE Payments Network LLC.
NYCE, a unit of Metavante Technologies Inc., announced the milestone Friday.
The new members include 15 community banks owned by Wintrust Financial Corp. in Lake Forest, Ill., and Amcore Bank in Rockford, Ill.
Sum has more than 500 financial company participants in 27 states and Puerto Rico, whose customers can use each other's ATMs at no charge.
