Taiwan Cooperative Bank and Visa Inc. Monday launched the country's first prepaid Visa card, the TCB Electronic Money card. Consumers can purchase the card at any bank branch for NT$100 (US$3.29 or 2.11 euros), according to a Visa statement. Consumers can reload the card with up to NT$10,000 at any ATM or by using the bank's Web site. Cardholders can check their balances at an ATM or online and can reclaim the remaining balance by transferring the funds to a designated bank account, the statement says.
