Telemundo Communications Group LLC continues to expand its reach into the prepaid segment with a deal introducing cobranded Visa Inc. and MasterCard Worldwide gift cards at select retail locations through a partnership with InComm Inc., the companies announced May 25.
The cards will feature Telemundo branding as well as traditional Hispanic holidays and themes.
Earlier this month, Western Union Co. announced a partnership with Telemundo to promote two MasterCard-branded reloadable prepaid cards.
Western Union designed the Telemundo prepaid card for Hispanics in the United States, while the mun2 prepaid card is tied to Telemundo’s mun2 cable TV channel for younger, bicultural Hispanics, the funds-transfer company noted in a May 17 announcement (
