Ukash, which sells prepaid vouchers to support online shopping, is expanding its Latin American presence with launches in Argentina and Brazi, the United Kingdom-based firm announced Feb. 9.
Argentinean consumers may purchase vouchers from shops in major towns and cities that include Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Mendoza. Locations are listed on Ukash’s website. Ukash sells the vouchers in U.S. dollars in values of $20, $50 and $100. Consumers in the region pay in pesos, and the vouchers are valid for 12 months
Ukash vouchers have unique 19-digit codes consumers enter when initiating purchases on merchant Web sites. Ukash sells the vouchers to consumers who prefer not to use payment cards for online purchases or who cannot use cards.
Brazilian consumers may order the vouchers at Ukash’s Latin American website and pay for them at participating merchants.
