Co-op Financial Services, which operates a surcharge-free ATM network for credit unions, has selected mFoundry Inc. to offer mobile-banking services to Co-op members. Based in Sausalito, Calif., mFoundry will enable members of Co-op's credit unions to verify balances, view transaction histories and transfer funds between accounts with their cell phones. Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.-based Co-op will integrate the mFoundry platform into its shared-branching Next Generation Network switch to provide mobile banking to members of all credit unions participating in the network, says Stan Hollen, Co-op president and CEO. The organization has 3,000 credit-union members, 28,000 surcharge-free ATMs, 3,500 shared branch locations and 26 million cardholders.
