Virtual Piggy to Support Payments for Demandware Merchants

Virtual Piggy has become a Demandware Link technology partner, which enables the youth payment company to reach retailers in Demandware's network.

"Virtual Piggy's COPPA [Children's Online Privacy Protection Act]-compliant payments solution offers a unique and effective way for retailers to reach consumers under 18," says Tom Griffin, senior vice president of corporate development for Demandware, in an Oct. 9 press release.

The Demandware Link technology partner program includes pre-built integrations to e-commerce technology and applications. The program is designed to help retailers adopt programs from third parties quickly.

"This certification from Demandware will make our payment option easily accessible and integrated by the merchants under their umbrella," says Jo Webber, CEO and founder of Virtual Piggy, in a release.

Virtual Piggy, which enables young people to make payments online, has expanded its reach over the past year through a series of partnerships with merchants and social networks that focus on teens. "As we continue to expand globally, this is another step forward in making our technology convenient for merchants to add to their ecommerce environment," Webber says.
