Virtual Piggy to Support Payments for Game Vendor Marvelous

Youth e-commerce company Virtual Piggy will provide its payment engine to Marvelous USA, which sells video games.

The U.S.-based publishing arm of MarvelousAQL, Marvelous USAs two divisionsXSEED Games and Marvelous Onlinerelease games for systems such as the Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii. Its titles include Ninja Warrior, Cross Horizon, Shin Megami Tensei, Imagine and Pandora Saga.

This partnership with Virtual Piggy will allow us to directly access the youth market in a safe manner, said Shinichi Suzuki, president and CEO of Marvelous USA, in a release. This opens up many opportunities, ranging from console and PC game purchases to in-app mobile and social micro-transactions.

Virtual Piggy enables young people to make payments within parameters set by their parents. Marvelous USA is its second gaming partnership in recent weeksthe company also announced plans to provide payments for Habbo Hotel, a social gaming and online community for teenagers.

Virtual Piggy also handles payments for educational game developer JumpStart.
