Visa Expands Fraud Recovery Service

Visa Inc. said Tuesday that it has expanded its fraud recovery service to include PIN debit transactions initiated over its Plus and Interlink networks.

The Account Data Compromise Recovery service, which Visa started offering in October 2006, is meant to automate the process of determining liability and compensation for issuers when card data has been compromised, but the service.

Until the expansion the service covered only signature debit. Visa said that it was able to add Plus and Interlink transactions after it expanded the networks' fraud-reporting capabilities.
