Customers of two more banks in the United Kingdom can add value to their mobile phones at ATMs under a deal announced Wednesday by UK-based payments processor VocaLink, which is providing the service. The deal involves more than 3,500 ATMs deployed by HBOS and Sainsbury's, VocaLink says in a statement. Consumers can use the service at almost 50,000 ATMs in the UK, including machines deployed by such financial institutions as Royal Bank of Scotland, Yorkshire Bank and Nationwide Building Society, the processor says. To use the service, consumers insert their bankcard into an ATM, type in their PIN, select the appropriate service, enter the mobile-phone number and determine how much value to add.
