United Kingdom-based mobile-network operator Vodafone Group PLC says it has launched a service with United States-based online payments firm PayPal that enables consumers in Australia to add value to their mobile phones. To use the service, Vodafone customers must sign up for PayPal accounts, then use credit or debit cards to top up mobile-phone accounts, the mobile operator says. "This is an Australia-only product, and it doesn't exist in other markets as yet," a PayPal spokesperson tells CardLine Global. PayPal, a unit of eBay Inc., says it has more than 65 million active accounts around the world.
