Wirecard has agreed to process payments for Sky Deutschland's online TV channels.

The Aschheim, Germany-based payments company will process subscriptions for the TV station's Sky Starter and Sky Film packages.
Wirecard currently processes payments for the station's "Snap by Sky" video library, which was introduced last year. The company uses tokenization to protect consumer transaction data.
"We are delighted with the steady expansion of Sky TV's portfolio using our payment solutions," said Julie Kitzinger, head of sales at Wirecard, in a Dec. 8 press release.
Sky Deutschland is based in Unterföhring, Germany.
