Woolworths Ltd. is partnering with Qantas Airways Ltd. to launch a rewards credit card, the Australia-based retailer announced last week.
HSBC Ltd. will issue the MasterCard-branded Everyday Rewards card, Woolworths noted in a statement. Customers will earn one Qantas frequent-flyer point per AU$1 they spend on purchases initiated anywhere MasterCard is accepted worldwide. When cardholders shop at Woolworths, they will get vouchers worth four Australian cents off per liter of fuel and Qantas points for all purchases above AU$30 (US$29.50 or 21euros).
The chip-and-PIN card comes with an AU$89 annual fee. It also integrates MasterCard’s PayPass contactless function.
