WSFS Financial (WSFS) recently launched its fifth annual pet photo contest. Customers and others submit snapshots of their furry friends, like this one last year from Courtney Heal in Newark, Del., of Bruno, an 8-month-old Great Dane, and his playmate, 22-month old Braedon.

Business and Charity

The contest is a way to engage customers and employees while also raising money for the Delaware Humane Association, says Rick Wright, the chief retail banking officer of WSFS Bank in Wilmington.

Playful Pup

Comet, a 3-year old beagle, won the "Most Personality" category in 2012 with a photograph submitted by Phillip Barkley of Wilmington. All of the winners received a pet supplies gift card, blue ribbon and a trophy.

When Do We Carve This?

Four-year-old golden retriever Duke won last year's "Best in Show" category after Debbie Vai of Wilmington submitted this picture. A panel of celebrity judges, including Delaware Lt. Gov. Matthew Denn, voted on this and two other categories.

Cardsharp

Tucker, a 5-year-old cockapoo from Newark, was selected as the "People's Choice" winner through online voting. The bank created this category last year.

Double Trouble

Jack and Jill, two black and white domestic short hair cats belonging to Robin Noel from Newark, won "Best in Show" in 2011.

Play Ball

Bella, a chocolate Labrador retriever, and her owner, Susan Washinski of Houston, Del., won in 2011 for "Most Personality."

My Buddy and Me

Mary Kate Church from Bear, Del., won 2011's "Kids & Pets" category with this photograph of her Jack Russell terrier, Lola.
