HARRISBURG, Pa. - Belco Community CU said it has joined the Cumberland County Economic Development Corp., the fourth lender to do so. The community development corp. will finance up to 40% of a qualified project, while the balance of the loan must come from conventional lenders. Other lenders in the program are Members 1st FCU, Orrstown Bank and F&M trust.

The Wichita Eagle did a story about Mid American Credit Union, Catholic Family Federal Credit Union and the Wichita branch of America's Christian Credit Union sharing branches. Marilyn Wells, Catholic Family Federal's president, said it's the only branch expansion option for her 4,000-member, $21.9-million institution. Mid American also has arrangements in place with Central Star Credit Union and First Choice Credit Union to do shared branching. "Once we can get this rolling a bit... this thing is going to start snowballing," added Wells.
