IntegrUS CU, Vibrant CU to merge

The new owner of this Miami bank might be from Chile, but it sure knew how to create warm feelings with the employees it acquired. Instead of cutting back on benefits, it added some new ones — including a cash bonus paid for life events like having a child.

The merger has already received approval from state and federal regulators, and is expected to be finalized by the end of October.

The combined institution has assets of more than $1.3 billion and serves more than 120,000 members.
