Women in Banking on Women in Banking

American Banker Magazine is out today with its annual Most Powerful Women in Banking issue, which highlights the professional achievements and leadership of women in the financial services and banking industries.

To help celebrate this year's issue, BankThink invited leading women of various banking backgrounds to talk about how women's role in the industry has evolved over time. Or, more specifically:

"How has your experience as a woman in banking changed over the years? What areas have the most advancements been made? What challenges remain?"

One op-ed will run each morning for the next few days. (Melanie J. Dressel, president and CEO of Columbia Banking System and Columbia Bank, who is featured on this year's Most Powerful list, will kick off the series this morning.)
