PNC Fills Lending, Marketing Posts
PNC Financial Corp. on Wednesday named Phillip R. Goldsmith as senior vice president in charge of consumer lending and John E. Alden as senior vice president responsible for marketing.
In addition, Mr. Goldsmith becomes president of PNC National Bank, the company's credit card bank in Wilmington, Del. Since 1982, he has served as executive vice president in charge of retail banking at PNC's Provident National Bank, Philadelphia.
Veteran Marketing Exec
Mr. Alden, who in 1988 assumed responsibility for coordinating retail marketing across the corporation, was named senior vice president of Pittsburgh National in January of this year.
As senior vice president, he will have broad responsibility for PNC marketing activities and will continue as chairman of the retail marketing committee.
Pittsburgh-based PNC has $44.3 billion in assets and operates more than 550 offices.
