STAMFORD, Conn. - In an expansion of its financial services, IBM Credit Corp. said it would provide inventory financing for non-IBM products.
The IBM Corp. unit previously financed only IBM products and the accounts receivable of remarketers - companies that resell IBM systems. The remarketers had requested that IBM Credit also finance non-IBM products.
Agreements are to be negotiated with a wide range of manufacturers, distributors, and franchisers, IBM Credit said.
