T. Alexander Spratt has been named president and chief executive of Bucks County Bank, Doylestown, Pa., a unit of the Perkasie-based Independence Bancorp.
Mr. Spratt is currently group executive vice president, chief credit officer, and head of strategic planning for the parent company.
He succeeds John C. Spier, who has assumed full-time duties as group vice president at Independence Bancorp, overseeing marketing, mergers and acquisitions, and retail banking strategy.
Mr. Spratt, who joined Independence in 1992, is a former senior vice president at CoreStates Financial Corp. He later founded Ardmore Capital Advisors. He has 26 years of commercial lending experience.
