Card briefs: Poll: 84% of Over-50s Would Balk at Teller Fees

Most people over 50 would switch banks rather than pay big fees to use tellers, according to a survey.

Research 100, an international market research firm based in Princeton, N.J., asked 925 people in that age bracket if they would abandon a bank that charged a $3 teller fee.

Eighty-four percent said they would find one with no teller fee. Only 4% said they'd pay the fee.
