Mellon Bank Names Chesko And Parkinson Executive VPs

Robert M. Parkinson and John T. Chesko have been named executive vice presidents and members of the senior management committee of Mellon Bank Corp., Pittsburgh.

Mr. Parkinson heads the corporation's credit review activities. Effective May 1, he also will assume the responsibilities of corporate chief auditor, replacing Donald J. O'Reilly, who will retire on July 31.

Mr. Chesko is responsible for corporate risk management, overseeing risk control systems as well as legal and regulatory compliance matters.

Before being named to his current position, Mr. Chesko was the senior credit approval officer.
