Short Takes: Kemper International Bond Fund Launched

Corp., is introducing an international bond fund for institutional investors, including bank pension plans. Kemper International Bond Fund is designed for pension and profit- sharing plans, endowments, foundations, corporations, and insurance companies. The fund will invest primarily in investment-grade foreign debt securities denominated in currencies of the countries covered by Kemper Investment management, a London-based subsidiary that manages the assets in global and international fixed-income investments. Gordon Johns, portfolio manager for Kemper Global Income Fund, will manage the new bond fund. Kemper Financial Services has about $62 million under management.
