The Federal Reserve Names Executive

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta has promoted Christopher Alexander to assistant vice president at the Atlanta branch.

He will be responsible for payment services operations, branch computer services, and payer bank services.

Mr. Alexander joined the Atlanta Fed in 1984 as an auditor in its Birmingham unit. He had been the director of automated clearing since last year.

His successor in that job is Brent Yamaato, who was section manager in the Atlanta Fed's cash services department.
