Irish Developer's CodesFor RSA Java Tool Kit

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.-RSA Data Security Inc. said it has licensed J/Crypto, a Java-based data encryption library, to be incorporated in RSA's JSAFE tool kit for development of Internet commerce applications.

J/Crypto comes from Baltimore Technologies Ltd. of Dublin, Ireland. It can be used in implementing RSA, DES, Diffie-Hellman, and other cryptographic algorithms.

Baltimore offers a "world-class product," said RSA president Jim Bidzos, and it will enhance the JSAFE package that the company announced in April and intends to have available in the third quarter to build security into systems using the Java programming language.

Mr. Bidzos said he expects to pursue other alliances in Europe, "a thriving center for innovation and achievement in cryptography." Purchase Using SETIs a First for Spain
