Nokia, Deutsche Join to Create Wireless System

The cellular phone maker Nokia and Deutsche Bank have agreed to jointly develop a system for wireless banking services.

The offering, to be available to the bank's customers in Germany, is based on the widely accepted Wireless Application Protocol standard, or WAP.

Nokia is to provide a server that is compliant with the WAP standard as well as its 7110 media phone.
