Savannah to Purchase Adviser's Assets

Savannah Bancorp Inc. in Georgia said Thursday that it has agreed to acquire the assets of Minis & Co. Inc., a Savannah investment advisory firm.

The sale is expected to close this quarter. The price was not disclosed.

Minis, founded in 1932, provides fee-only investment services to individuals, families, employee benefit plans, nonprofits, and other entities. It would retain its name and its employees, Savannah Bancorp said.

The $845 million-asset Savannah Bancorp is a three-bank holding company.
