Q2ebanking Expands Austin Headquarters

Q2ebanking in Austin has a new headquarters and plans to hire dozens of employees.

The virtual banking provider is moving its headquarters into an 85,000 square foot building in Austin, it announced Wednesday. The building, with space for up to 500 people, includes a family room with ping pong tables, a fitness center, kitchens, and a music room.

Q2 plans to hire at least 60 additional employees by year's end, it said. Of the company's 350 employees, 147 were hired last year.

The new headquarters will allow for "continued growth," said Chief Executive Matt Flake. "We're proud to be headquartered in Austin, Texas — a place where so many people want to live — and to have built a company culture that employees truly love."

Q2's software is designed to provide people with a consistent digital banking experience, regardless of which electronic channel they use. More than 400 financial institutions use the Q2 platform, including Umpqua Bank and Harleysville Savings Bank.

Q2 recently agreed to resell Andera's account opening and lending software.
