ICBA Elects New Executive Committee

The Independent Community Bankers of America has elected its executive committee for the next year.

The nine-member committee for 2013-14 was chosen at the 2013 ICBA National Convention in Las Vegas, the trade group said Wednesday. The committee is led by William Loving Jr., president and chief executive of Pendleton Community Bank in Franklin, W.Va.

John Buhrmaster, president of 1st National Bank in Scotia, N.Y., is the chairman-elect, while Jack Hartings, president of Peoples Bank in Coldwater, Ohio, is vice chairman.

The other bankers on the committee are Timothy Zimmerman, president and CEO of Standard Bank in Monroeville, Pa.; Nancy Ruyle, president and CEO of Citizens Bank in Rogersville, Mo.; Jeff Gerhart, president and chairman of Bank of Newman Grove in Newman Grove, Neb.; Sal Marranca, president and CEO of Cattaraugus County Bank in Little Valley, N.Y.; James MacPhee, CEO of Kalamazoo County State Bank in Schoolcraft, Mich.; and Cynthia Blankenship, vice chairman and chief operating officer of Bank of the West in Grapevine, Texas.

Cam Fine, the ICBA's president and CEO, is also a member of the committee.

The ICBA will be focused on reducing regulatory pressure on community banks during the upcoming term, Loving told American Banker last week.
