First Choice Bank in Cerritos, Calif., has promoted Nicole Swain to the newly created position of chief banking officer.
Swain was previously a business development officer for the $789 million-asset bank. The board approved her promotion on Thursday and she began her new role Monday, according to Bob Franko, the bank's president and chief executive.
As chief banking officer, Swain will oversee First Choice's private and commercial banking sales groups, according to a news release Monday. Franko said in an interview that she will retain her prior responsibilities and in her new role will focus primarily on deposits and loans.
