Mich. Bank Hires Principal Financial Officer After CFO Resigns

New Bancorp in New Buffalo, Mich., has hired Shawna Zawada as controller and principal financial officer, days after Russell Dahl resigned as chief financial officer.

The $99.6 million-asset company said in a regulatory filing that Zawada was hired on Aug. 22; Dahl resigned on Aug. 18. The company did not return a call for comment.

Zawada joins New Bancorp from IU Health La Porte Hospital in Indiana, where she had worked since 2007 with titles including staff accountant and financial analyst.

Dahl had been CFO of the company and New Buffalo Savings Bank since March 2014, according to his LinkedIn profile.
