Middlefield Banc in Ohio Raises $11 Million

Middlefield Banc Corp. in Ohio has raised roughly $11 million through several stock offerings.

The $733 million-asset company disclosed in a regulatory filing Thursday that it raised nearly $6 million on Tuesday, selling roughly 151,500 shares to accredited investors and about 14,000 shares to its chief executive, chief operating officer and other executives. The shares were sold at $33 each.

Middlefield earlier this month sold nearly 151,000 shares to a pair of accredited investors, raising $5 million.

The company paid nearly $7 million last fall to buy out the stake of Eric Hovde, who had been its biggest investor.
