Visa Hires Time Executive to Lead Marketing, Communications

Visa has nabbed an executive from the media company Time Inc. to be its chief marketing and communications officer.

Lynne Biggar, executive vice president for Time's consumer marketing and revenue division, will join the payments giant on Feb. 1, according to a news release. She will also fill a seat on its executive and operating committees.

Before joining Time in November 2013, Biggar was general manager of international card products and experiences at American Express. She worked there for more than 20 years in various general management and marketing roles.

Biggar's predecessor, Antonio Lucio, resigned from Visa in April to join HP, formerly Hewlett-Packard, as marketing and communications chief.
