Codorus Valley in Pennsylvania Appoints New General Counsel

Codorus Valley Bancorp (CVLY) in York, Pa., has appointed Benjamin Riggs to become its general counsel and secretary.

Riggs will succeed Harry Swift, who is retiring from the $1.1 billion-asset company on Dec. 31, the company said in a regulatory filing. Swift will remain a Codorus director.

Riggs previously spent eight years as general counsel and vice president of business development with Four Seasons Produce in Pennsylvania. Prior to that, he was vice president and senior counsel at Sovereign Bank. He also served as associate general counsel and vice president of York Federal Savings and Loan Association, which later became Waypoint Bank.
