Law firm Rimon has added a former Bank of America (BAC) lawyer as a partner in its new Boston office.
Investment-manager attorney Peter Fariel served as an associate general counsel for the country's second-largest bank for the past eight years, supporting boards overseeing Bank of America's mutual fund complex. He was also chief legal officer for Bank of America Global Capital Management.
Fariel was a partner at Goodwin Procter before joining B of A.
Fariel will advise Rimon clients on mutual funds and alternative investment funds.
Fariel "has a great mix of experience as both an in-house counsel at one of the nation's largest banks and as a partner at a top law firm," Rimon Chief Executive Michael Moradzadeh said in a press release Tuesday.
