Military meal prep
Volunteers of Hanscom Federal Credit Union of Hanscom AFB, Mass., prepared meals to serve to military veterans and their families through Fisher House Boston, a foundation that allows family members of hospitalized U.S. veterans to stay in comfort homes free of charge.
Lake preservation donations
Portland, Maine-based Evergreen Credit Union donated $2,000 among a trio of local organizations: the Collins Pond Improvement Association, the Lakes Environmental Association and the Little Sebago Lake Association, all of which are focused on protecting and preserving water quality in area lakes.
Fundraising for the deaf and blind
Thanks to efforts from Montana's Giant Springs Chapter of Credit Unions, nearly $3,500 was raised for the Montana School for the Deaf and Blind, along with the Lions Clubs of Montana Low Vision Reader Project.
Starting conferences
ēCO Credit Union of Birmingham, Ala., hosted a financial literacy conference that featured keynote speaker and author of Broke Millennial, Erin Lowry.
Fighting crime
During a community luncheon, Warner Robins, Ga.-based Robins Financial Credit Union presented Macon Regional Crimestoppers with a check.
Tales 4 Tails
Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union of Lowell, Mass., sponsored The Tales 4 Tails program, which allows children at the YMCA to visit a local humane society so that they can read to shelter animals awaiting adoption.

The SECU Foundation renewed a career scholarship program which assists North Carolina students working to acquire vocational skills.The foundation stems from State Employees’ Credit Union based in Raleigh, N.C.State Employees’ Credit Union of Raleigh, N.C.
Enhancing financial literacy
San Diego County Credit Union announced a new partnership with the Better Business Bureau. The San Diego, Calif.-based credit union's new partnership brings a program geared towards young college students that will assist with budgeting and other financial literacy standards.
Class of 2019
Anheuser-Busch Employees' Credit Union announced the credit union's six summer interns who spent the summer working with the Saint Louis, Mo.-based credit union.
