Rock the Riverfront
The RCU Foundation raised over $27,000 for local charities during its 2019 Rock the Riverfront, a race with over 700 participants in addition to food and local entertainment. The foundation is an arm of Royal Credit Union, which is based in Eau Claire, Wis.
Math tourney
First Financial Federal Credit Union sponsored a math tournament thanks to a partnership with Carroll County Public Schools. The Lutherville, Md.-based CU donated $1,400 to the effort for the third year in a row.
Partnering up
Suffolk Federal Credit Union of Medford, N.Y., joined forces with Suffolk County Community College as an official partner of the academic institution.
Summer scholars
Financial Center First Credit Union awarded three students monetary awards through the Indianapolis, Ind.-based CU's college scholarship program.
Super studious
Hunt Valley, Md.-based Point Breeze Credit Union awarded $22,5000 in scholarships to 15 high school students. Each student received a total scholarship worth $1,500.
Hit the books
IC Federal Credit Union in Fitchburg, Mass., announced the recipients of its 2019 senior scholarship program award. Five seniors were presented with $1,500 scholarships that will go toward their collegiate education.

Setting new records
Mount Pleasant, Wis.-based Educators Credit Union awarded 37 scholarships to local high school seniors each worth $2,000. This is the largest scholarship award in the CU's history.
Welcome to the real world
Fort Washington, Penn.-based TruMark Financial Credit Union hosted a financial reality fair for over 200 high school students where they selected careers and competed for salaries.
Charity giveaway
Clinton Township, Mich.-based Freestar Financial launched a two-part $10,000 charity giveaway. One charity will receive a $5,000 award in the first part of the campaign and four runner-ups will each receive $1,250. The second portion of the campaign will highlight five finalists where the community will determine one grand prize winner.

Anheuser-Busch Employees' Credit Union of St. Louis, Mo., was recognized as a top workplace in 2019 by the St. Louis Post Dispatch.
