A number of credit unions have made new hires and announced promotions while other employees were recognized for their service.

Carol Thompson (left), a senior member access center representative at FreeStar Financial Credit Union in Clinton Township, Mich., was recognized by her credit union with the Legendary Service Award for going above and beyond her duty to help a member who required medical attention. The member thought she had dialed 911, but instead called FreeStar. Thompson notified emergency services to help the member. Thompson was also awarded a proclamation from the Clinton Township Board of Trustees. At right is Drema Isaac, FreeStar's president and CEO.
