Diaper drive
In partnership with the United Way, Battle Creek, Mich.-based Kellogg Community Credit Union reached their diaper drive goal by collecting 10,000 diapers.
Honoring the military
SEFCU honored military veterans at University at Albany's stadium during the Albany, N.Y.-based CU's Operation Fitness challenge. In its third year, the challenge raises money for organizations that support military veterans.
Empowering women
Burnsville, Minn.-based Firefly Credit Union invited women to participate in a seminar about the challenges that women face with investing and retirement.
A magical workday
American Heritage Credit Union embraced a Disney Epcot theme for its 24th annual employee appreciation day. Management at the Philadelphia-based CU dressed up in attire from different countries while cooking and serving lunch to 345 employees at their main campus.
Fancy footwork
Employees of Vizo Financial Corporate Credit Union put in some footwork in support of the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation's Walk for Children. Teaming up with Century Heritage Federal Credit Union and Visionary Federal Credit Union, the trio raised $4,400 for the cause.
Golf tourney
The NWFCU Foundation hosted its fourth annual Drive for the Driven Golf Tournament, which will benefit the foundation's scholarship fund. The foundation is an arm of Herndon, Va.-based Northwest Federal Credit Union.
Coming together
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Athens received a special school supply boost from a group of 34 credit union professionals and various students by way of the Southeast Regional Credit Union Schools. SRCUS is composed of eight groups, including Carolinas Credit Union League, Georgia Credit Union Affiliates, Kentucky Credit Union League, League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates, Louisiana Credit Union League, Mississippi Credit Union Association, Tennessee Credit Union League, and Virginia Credit Union League.
Give-A-Click
Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union in Lowell, Mass., announced the winner, the Adam Keenan Foundation, of its Give-A-Click campaign. The foundation received a $1,500 donation from the CU.
Denim days
Employees of Members First Credit Union embraced casual day in support of charity. The Louisville, Ky.-based CU donated $560 toward Liberty House's Casual Friday Fund.
Scholarly pursuits
Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union announced the winners of its scholarships. The Northfield, N.J.-based CU gave $3,500 worth of scholarships to six students.
