10 Inducted Into CU House Hall of Leaders

WASHINGTON-Ten CU leaders have been inducted into the Credit Union House 2011 Hall of Leaders.

Inductees include: Harold Allen, a long-time volunteer at Nebraska FCU who was active at the state and national levels; D.S. "Scotty" Broome, former CEO of Keesler FCU in Biloxi, Miss., who was active in CUs for 34 years, including working with the Defense CU Council; Raymond Brunner, president/CEO of WEST-AIRCOMM FCU, Beaver, Penn., and current chair of the Pennsylvania CU Association, who was recognized for leadership in developing a new board governance structure for PCUA; James Bryan, former president of Texans CU, who during his career was active with Southwest Corporate, CUNA Mutual, the Texas league, and the Filene Research Institute; William Eckhardt, president/CEO of Alaska USA FCU since 1979 and active at the league, CUNA Mutual and CUNA; John Fiore, CEO of Motorola Employees CU, Schaumburg, Ill., who was recognized for more than 40 years' devotion to CUs, including on numerous state and national boards; Gene Hensley (posthumously), who served as president/CEO of Appalachian Community FCU (formerly Mead Kingsport CU), Kingsport, Tenn., for 31 years and who was active in his league and corporate; John Murphy, the long-time president of the Maine CU League and its subsidiary, Synergent; Robert Walls, the former president of the Delaware league who has been active with CUNA, Credit Union House and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Service Corp.; and Jim Williams, who has held positions with numerous credit unions, served on the Texas CU Commission, and was CUNA's president from 1979-86.
