ABILENE, Texas – Abilene FCU has donated $32,060 to Big Brothers Big Sisters which was raised through the credit union’s annual Skip-A-Loan Payment program.
The gift is the largest corporate donation in Big Brother Big Sisters’ 31-year history in Abilene.
Credit union members who participated in this program were allowed to skip a loan payment during the months of November and December by making a $10 donation to the charity. Each donation was matched by Communities of Abilene, resulting in $20 generated for each skipped payment.
