DFCU Financial said that no member will receive less than $50, and some will receive several thousand dollars, with payments based on the amount of business done with DFCU Financial. The money is expected to be especially welcome in this market, where auto industry-related cutbacks have hurt many consumers. In all, some 133,000 members all across the United States will receive some sort of bonus dividend, the credit union reported.

Qualifying members will receive a one-half percent (0.5%) dividend on their average loan and deposit balances. The credit union has created a special site at paystobelong.com so that members can estimate their approximate dividend. Non-members can also estimate how much a dividend they would receive if they moved all their accounts over to DFCU Financial (see related story, left). For related stories, see cujournal.com.
