ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Advantage FCU, in partnership with the Rochester Institute of Technology, has pledged $100,000 to a scholarship fund for RIT students in Monroe and adjoining counties.
“We were founded in 1931 to serve teachers in the Rochester City School District and we understand how important it is to support the educational community, which has supported us for the last 80 years,” said Jeffrey Bocach, president of the $160 million credit union.
RIT’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships will administer the program, with at least two scholarships awarded annually, representatives said.
