Agency Spokesperson To Leave On March 24

Nicholas Owens, the chief spokesperson for NCUA, announced last week he is leaving the agency.

Owens has been at NCUA for five years and was brought in as special assistant to former NCUA Chairman Dennis Dollar in 2001.

Owens served as a senior communications advisor to the board on policy matters, as well as coordinated the agency's Access Across America economic empowerment initiatives.

He plans to leave NCUA on March 24 and did not indicate where he was headed other than to say he would pursue "public service."
