ATLANTA Delta Community CU, the former airline employees’ credit union, said this morning that Hank Halter, a former Delta Air Lines executive who has been serving as interim chief since the first of the year, has been hired as permanent president and CEO of the $4.3 billion credit union.
Halter, who has served on the credit union board the past seven years, succeeds Rick Foley, who retired at year-end 2012, after 26 years with the credit union, the last eight as CEO.
Halter worked at Delta Air Lines from 1998 to 2012 in a number of finance positions, becoming Chief Financial Officer in 2008. Before Delta, Halter worked at American Airlines and Ernst & Young.
Delta Community is Georgia’s largest credit union serving over 270,000 members and the entire metro Atlanta area, including 11 surrounding counties and employees of top businesses, such as Delta Air Lines, Chick-fil-A, UPS and Racetrac.
